Christ’s Commission to Believers

We greet you once again in the strong name of Jesus the Christ. As president of the Brotherhood Auxiliary I am grateful to our Convention President, Dr. Stephen J. Thurston and our Convention Press under the leadership of Rev. Dennis Everett for providing this course of study for our Brotherhood men and others who may utilize this study.

A popular concept in our society today when things are out of sort is to return to the Basics. Our society is beset with many problems…. crime, drugs, sexual issues and economic deprivations just to name a few.

Our Churches need to be strengthened in order to provide “hope” for our society’s ills. One of the policie of the Brotherhood is to “Undergird the whole program of the Church”. I encourage you to review our policies and match them to the principles that will be provided by this study. This study guide will help each of us to return to the source of our Christian commitment. By doing so we will again demonstrate that we too are God’s special people. I encourage you to develop and participate in the spiritual disciplines of prayer, devotion and study that will enable you to face all of the crisis in our lives and in the lives of those who encompass our spheres of influence.

My prayer is that God will bless you and strengthen you for the journey ahead.
